Dave Woolum is a pioneering bluegrass bandleader, lead singer, and guitar player known for his work with the Laurel County Partners. In the 1950s, he and his band opened for numerous country acts in the Cincinnati area, during a time when professional bluegrass bands were scarce. Woolum recorded music for several labels, including Ark, Excellent, Sage & Sand, Melody, Pine Tree, Rem, and Starday.
