David Ackles was an American singer-songwriter and occasional actor, born on February 27, 1937, in Rock Island, Illinois, to a show-business family. He passed away from cancer at the age of 62 on March 2, 1999, in Tujunga, north of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
