David Batiste and The Gladiators is a funk band that originated in 1962 as a talent show group, officially forming in 1965. Over the years, they evolved into one of the top funk bands in the nation, performing alongside notable artists such as Jackie Wilson, ZZ Top, Percy Sledge, The Temptations, and BB King, among others.
