David Chesworth (born 1958, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom) is an Australian-based artist and composer known for his work as an experimental electronic musician and in post-punk bands such as Essendon Airport and Whadya Want?. He has also collaborated with classical ensembles, theatre, and sound installations. From 1978 to 1982, Chesworth coordinated the Clifton Hill Community Music Centre in Melbourne, a hub for experimental music, performance, film, and video. He collaborates with audio/visual artist Sonia Leber, exhibiting in prestigious venues like the Venice and Sydney Biennales. In 1993, he formed The David Chesworth Ensemble to perform his own compositions.
