David John & The Mood was an R&B band formed in the winter of 1963 in Preston, Lancashire, northern England. The group consisted of David John Smith on vocals, Malcolm Fred Isherwood on drums, John Brierley on bass, Peter Illingworth on lead guitar and harmonica, and Peter Atkinson on guitar. They enjoyed a brief existence, breaking up in early 1966.
