David Simmons is a disco, soul, and funk singer born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He became friends with a fellow student in high school, and together they formed a group called The Exzels, where Simmons gained his first studio experience recording the single "Hit Talk" with a producer. In 1975, he formed a new group, Neo Experience, which included the same friend, and they recorded two singles, "Human" and "Eternal Sunshine." In 1978, Simmons was signed to a record label where he released two albums in the late 1970s. In 1981, he duetted with another artist on the song "All The Man I Need."
