De Fabriek, also known as The Factory, is a music collective based in Zwolle, Netherlands. Founded in the late 1970s by Richard van Dellen and Andries D. Eker, the group currently includes Richard van Dellen, his wife Louise Nanuru van Dellen, Peter van Vliet, Martijn Hohmann, and Peter Ehrmann. They do not consider themselves a traditional band, as they also operate as a label, presenting The Factory as a type of workers' union and viewing the musicians they collaborate with as laborers. Their music is created using workman tools and machinery, and over the years, they have recorded with various artists.
