The Dead Boys, originally known as Frankenstein, were a punk rock band formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1976 following a breakup. They adopted their new name upon relocating to New York City in July 1976, where they remained active until 1979. The band briefly reunited in 1986 and again in 2004 and 2005, although one member had passed away in 1990.
