Dean Wareham is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the frontman of the indie rock band Galaxie 500 and the band Luna. He was born on August 1, 1963, in New Zealand and later moved to the United States. Wareham's music often features dreamy melodies and introspective lyrics, and he has been influential in the indie music scene since the late 1980s. In addition to his work with Galaxie 500 and Luna, he has released solo albums and collaborated with various artists.
