Dedication is a collaborative musical project featuring Felix Dickinson, Tsuyoshi Kosuga, Keita Y Mikey, Botch, and Jonas. Tsuyoshi, known for his work in Cro-Magnon, has a background in playing guitar and bass in various bands, including Loop Junction. Keita Y Mikey, who has been managing the clothing label Dedication for many years, also produces the band and oversees the studio where most of their music is recorded. Botch is a skilled carpenter and master keyboardist, forming the core of the band alongside Tsuyoshi and Mikey, with Jonas occasionally joining on percussion for live performances. All members share a passion for surfing. Felix met Mikey while DJing at Lifeforce parties in Japan and connected with Tsuyoshi during a live performance by Cro-Magnon at a Lifeforce event in Tokyo. During a Japanese tour, Mikey invited Felix to Kamakura, where he offered to teach him how to surf. After a day at the beach, Mikey shared some unfinished tracks, which excited Felix enough to propose producing music with them. In 2005, they recorded their first track together in Kamakura. Felix later took the parts back to London to add vocals with Kyle Chandler, resulting in the track "Dedicated," which appeared on Felix's Japanese album 'Do You Think You Know Enough About the U.K. Underground Without Knowing Foolish Felix,' released by Avex in 2006.
