Deep Fried Dub is an electronic duo formed by B Hartless (Ben Hartley) and Dr. Benway (Ben Dudding). Their musical journey began in Auckland in 1996 when they created the electronic dance group Redivider, gaining a cult following through significant events like 'The Gathering' and notable tracks such as 'isorhythmic,' featured on the 'AK '97' compilation and receiving extensive radio play on local alternative stations. In 2000, they relocated to Melbourne and established the production studio Polygon Labs alongside fellow producer FREq. After initially pursuing solo projects, they reunited in 2003 to explore a new dubwise direction. This collaboration led to the release of their debut album, the self-titled Deep Fried Dub, in 2007. Several tracks from this album were later picked up by Iboga Records for a digital release titled Saturated, which came out in 2010. In June 2013, Deep Fried Dub re-released their debut album through Dubmission Records, followed by the September release of Refried, a collection of their remixes for artists including Pitch Black, Banco De Gaia, Lotus, Mista Savona, and The Red Eyes.
