DEFSET, the musical project of Leo Neelands, is a newcomer to the electronic music scene. Known for his work as a VFX Supervisor and VFX compositor, Neelands has contributed to some of the biggest films in visual effects, including ‘Harry Potter’, ‘World War Z’, ‘Gravity’, ‘The Hobbit’, ‘Iron Man 3’, and ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’. DEFSET's music is characterized by the exploration of modular synthesis, field recording, outboard effects, live instrumentation, and creative sampling, resulting in deeply immersive and evocative electronic compositions.
