Delivery was originally named Brunos Blues Band and was the first band to feature notable musicians on guitar and drums, along with Phil's brother on keyboards and vocals, a saxophonist, and a bassist who replaced a founding member. After two years of performing around London, they teamed up with a singer in 1969 and recorded the album Fools Meeting the following year. In January 1971, Pip Pyle left the band and was replaced, but Delivery broke up shortly after. They then transformed into DC & The MB's (Dyble-Coxhill & The Miller Brothers), featuring an improvisational lineup that included an ex-Fairport Convention vocalist and toured Holland in May 1971. In August 1972, Steve Miller revived Delivery with a lineup that included himself, his brother Phil, Pip Pyle, and a bassist, resulting in a couple of tracks on the Coxhill-Miller album released the next year. When the latter three musicians formed another group, Steve Miller assembled yet another version of Delivery, this time including Lol Coxhill, Roy Babbington, and Laurie Allan. However, Babbington later joined another band, and Miller and Coxhill continued as a duo, occasionally joined by Allan. Delivery reunited for a one-off gig at London's Vortex jazz bar on June 29th, 1998, featuring a lineup of Steve Miller, Phil Miller, Lol Coxhill, Pip Pyle, Carol Grimes, and Fred Baker.
