Delroy Wilson was a reggae singer and pioneer born on October 5, 1948, in Kingston, Jamaica. He began his recording career at the age of 13 and was recognized for his contributions to Jamaican music with a special plaque awarded by the Jamaican government in 1994. Despite facing challenges, including health issues related to alcohol abuse, Wilson continued to record music sporadically during the early '90s. He fell into a coma shortly before his death on March 6, 1995, due to complications from cirrhosis of the liver, at the age of 46.
