Delta Blues Band is a Danish rock/blues band that has been active intermittently since the 1960s. In the late 1970s, they were joined by a US guitarist and became known as Delta, releasing five albums from 1979 to 1990. The original lineup at their 1969 debut included Troels Jensen, the Puggaard-Müller brothers, and another member. Shortly after their debut, the Puggaard-Müller brothers left to form another group, and were replaced by additional members, including Peter Høiler. In 1971, this lineup released a single featuring the traditional song "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," along with Søren Engel's "Slum Area 2400." By 1972, Feddersen left to form a new group, and Søren Engel departed to play with another band. Troels Jensen was the only member to continue in Delta Blues Band, joined by new members for the next year. This lineup backed another artist during a 1973 recording session. Later that year, the group reformed simply as Delta, featuring Jensen, Malinowsky, Kragh Jacobsen, and a vocalist from another band. They began recording an album, but due to internal conflicts, Nutzhorn and Henriksen took over and completed the recordings under a new name.
