**Bio: Dementia Precox** Dementia Precox was an experimental industrial noise band formed on January 12, 1980, in Dayton, Ohio, by high school friends Gyn Cameron (Gregory Stover) and Rodger Revlon (David Mench). Rodger had previously been involved with local punk bands, including "The Occupants" and "The Rulers," and had released cassette tapes under the name "Lead Pencil." In September 1980, the duo released their first cassette, "The Not So Hidden Persuaders," in a limited edition. They soon expanded their lineup by recruiting Max Noise (Timothy Nye) and Troy Boyahue (Chris Green) from "The Occupants," along with a wax dummy head named Syd. The band recorded four tracks, two of which were released as a single in March 1981. After a few months, Rodger was asked to leave the band and was replaced by David Paul. Following his departure, Rodger moved to New Orleans and later San Francisco, where he performed under the name Sublimation and collaborated with various artists. He eventually opened a record store and started a record label called Waggletone Records. By September 1982, Dementia Precox had released a mini LP titled "SCHP," which garnered international attention, although Rodger's contributions were minimized.
