Den Sorte Skole, also known as The Black School, is a Copenhagen-based DJ, producer, and composer collective from Denmark. Founded in 2003 by Simon Dokkedal, Martin Fernando Jakobsen (who left the group in 2011), and Martin Højland, the collective is known for its unique approach to music. By sampling sounds from various genres, including folk, psych rock, electronic music, reggae, classical, and field recordings, Den Sorte Skole takes listeners on a distinctive journey through the history of music.
