Derrick Harriott, born on February 6th, 1939, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a renowned singer and record producer. He is the founder of several labels and a shop/distributor. In 1971, he was recognized by Swing magazine as the Top Producer of 1970. Harriott was one of the first producers to utilize a mixing talent at his Waterhouse studio, where he released one of the earliest dub albums, "Scrub A Dub," credited to The Crystallites. He is also the uncle of an unnamed individual.
