Derrick Harriott, born on February 6th, 1939, in Kingston, Jamaica, is a renowned singer and record producer. He is the founder of several labels and has made significant contributions to the music industry. In 1971, Swing magazine recognized him as the Top Producer of 1970. Harriott was one of the pioneers in utilizing mixing talents at his Waterhouse studio, where he released one of the earliest dub albums, "Scrub A Dub," credited to The Crystallites. He is also the uncle of another notable figure in the music scene.
