Destiny's Child is an American R&B group that originated in Houston, Texas, in 1990. Initially formed as a quartet featuring Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett, the group experienced limited success until signing with Columbia Records in 1997. In early 2000, Roberson and Luckett were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin, though Franklin left after a few months, resulting in a trio. In 2001, Destiny's Child announced a hiatus to explore solo careers, but they later reunited to release their fifth and final album, "Destiny Fulfilled." After officially disbanding in 2006, the members—Beyoncé, Rowland, and Williams—have reunited on several occasions, including notable performances at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, the 2018 Coachella festival, and the final show of the 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour. The group's member timeline includes: - Beyoncé Knowles (1990-2006) - Kelly Rowland (1990-2006) - Michelle Williams (1999-2006) - LeToya Luckett (1993-2000) - LaTavia Roberson (1990-2000) - Farrah Franklin (1999-2000)
