Diamond D, born on April 5, 1968, is a Grammy Award-winning hip-hop producer and MC hailing from the Bronx, New York City. He is a founding member of the influential Diggin’ in the Crates Crew, collaborating with notable artists in the hip-hop scene. Diamond D began his career in the late 1980s as a DJ and producer, gaining recognition for his critically acclaimed debut album, Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop, released in 1992, which highlighted his lyrical prowess and sample-heavy production style. Throughout his career, he has produced for a diverse array of artists, including A Tribe Called Quest, Fugees, Busta Rhymes, and The Pharcyde. In 1997, he received a Grammy for his production work on the Fugees’ album, The Score.
