Dianne Mower is an American jazz singer and songwriter, born on February 13, 1953, in Patterson, New Jersey. Growing up in a musical family with a mother who was a classical singer, Dianne began her career at the age of 17, performing in top 40 lounges across the East Coast. This experience helped her develop a unique ability to connect with her audience, which became a hallmark of her intimate singing style. Mower gained recognition as a member of the acclaimed jazz vocal quartet, Jasmine, with whom she toured extensively, showcasing her versatility from energetic bops to smooth blues. Throughout her career, she has performed in clubs from New York to Hawaii, sharing the stage with numerous jazz legends. In addition to her singing, Dianne is a celebrated lyricist, known for her collaborations with prominent artists. She has received praise for her work with renowned musicians, penning tunes such as "Unsquare Dance," "Three To Get Ready," and "Cable Car." She also collaborated to add lyrics to "Blue Bossa" and worked on "Peace Waltz" for her inaugural CD, "A Song For You," released on a jazz label. Currently, Dianne continues to perform and record in the New England area while also serving as an educator at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. She resides in Hartford, Connecticut.
