Richard “Dick” DeBenedictis (born January 23, 1937, in New Milford, New Jersey, USA) is an American composer renowned for his work in television music. He is recognized for composing scores for several notable shows, including "Perry Mason" and its movies from 1985 to 1993, "Police Story," "Columbo," "Father Dowling Mysteries," "The Rockford Files," "Hawaii Five-O," "Phyllis," and "Matlock," along with its spin-offs "Jake and the Fatman" and "Diagnosis: Murder." In addition to his television work, DeBenedictis is known for his production music, which has been featured in various shows, commercials, video games, and films.
