Dilated Peoples is a hip hop group formed in 1992, consisting of members Evidence, Rakaa, and DJ Babu. They first gained recognition in the underground hip hop scene with the release of "Third Degree" in 1997 and "Work the Angles" in 1998 on ABB Records. Prior to these releases, they recorded an unreleased album titled "Imagery, Battle Hymns & Political Poetry" in 1995, which circulated among fans on bootlegged tapes. The group signed with Capitol Records and achieved critical acclaim with their debut album, The Platform, in 2000. Their second album, Expansion Team, followed in 2001 and included the notable single "Worst Comes to Worst," which featured samples from Mobb Deep and William Bell. In 2004, Dilated Peoples released their third album, Neighborhood Watch, which debuted at #55 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The album included the single "This Way" and "Who's Who?," the latter of which was featured in the soundtracks for Need for Speed: Underground and SSX 3, peaking at #35 on the UK Singles Chart. The group's final album with Capitol Records, 20/20, was released in 2006. The lead single, "Back Again," was included in the Fight Night Round 3 and MLB 06: The Show soundtracks. 20/20 marked the end of their four-album contract with Capitol,
