Dimitri Tiomkin was a noted composer born on May 10, 1894, in Kremenchuk, Poltava, in the Russian Empire, which is now part of Ukraine. He was active in his musical career from 1929 until 1979. Tiomkin passed away on November 11, 1979, in London, England.
