Dimosioypalliliko Retire, translating to 'Public Sector Worker Penthouse,' was an experimental rock trio from Thessaloniki, Greece, active from 1984 to 2006. The band consisted of members Thanasis Chondros, Alexandra Katsiani, and Danny Tragopoulos, all of whom were in their thirties at the time of formation. Chondros and Katsiani came from visual arts backgrounds, while Tragopoulos had experience in various musical groups, including jazz bands. They formed in the spring of 1984 and gave their first performance on October 11 of that year. Politically left-wing, the group initially focused on multimedia performances at diverse venues such as building sites, open-air markets, galleries, parks, and concert halls. They released their first cassette, "Who's Afraid of Phenylketonuria?", in 1987, followed by "Gestures" in 1988. Their first proper studio album, titled "The Other Side," was released in 1989 by Ano Kato Records.
