Dina Summer is a Berlin-based music project fronted by Greek native Konstantina Paschalidou, also known as Dina Pascal. She is joined by her husband, DJ/Producer Max Brudi, aka Brax Moody, and Bavarian-born Jakob Häglsperger, known as Kalipo. Konstantina began her performance career as a teenager on local radio stations in Thessaloniki, Greece, where she gained recognition as one of the first female DJs. After moving to Berlin, she met Max, and together they formed the duo Local Suicide. Jakob Häglsperger started his music journey as a producer and band member of the German electro-punk band Frittenbude. The trio initially met at the Rock am Ring festival in 2013 but began collaborating musically in 2019. They have since developed a unique sound that blends their diverse influences, incorporating elements of 80’s Disco, 90’s Electro, New Wave, and Downbeat, resulting in a nostalgic yet dark retro vibe.
