Alejandra Iglesias, known professionally as Dinky, is an experimental techno producer originally from Chile. She relocated to New York in the mid-'90s to further her dance studies, where she quickly became captivated by the local dance music scene and began DJing in the city's clubs. Dinky, who had already developed a passion for techno and DJing in Chile, was inspired by a trip to Berlin before her move to the U.S. She held a residency at Flamingo East and co-founded Angels on Vinyl, a female DJ collective in New York City. Her diverse influences range from Basic Channel and Christian Vogel to Carl Craig and Derrick May, resulting in productions that span ambient home-listening to melodic dancefloor tracks.
