Dinosaur Jr is an indie rock band formed in 1983 after the breakup of a hardcore band that included members Lou Barlow and J Mascis. Originally named Dinosaur, the band added "Jr." to their name following a lawsuit from a supergroup that arose after the release of their album "You're Living All Over Me" in 1987. In 2005, the first three Dinosaur Jr. albums—Dinosaur, You're Living All Over Me, and Bug—were reissued, and the original lineup of J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph reunited to tour and record new material.
