Dinosaur Jr. is an indie rock band formed in 1983 after the breakup of a hardcore band that included members Lou Barlow and J Mascis. Initially named Dinosaur, the band was forced to add "Jr." to their name following a lawsuit from a supergroup with the same name after the release of their album "You're Living All Over Me" in 1987. In 2005, after the reissue of their first three albums—"Dinosaur," "You're Living All Over Me," and "Bug"—the original lineup of J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph reunited to tour and also recorded new material.
