Diplo is an American musician, DJ, music producer, rapper, and songwriter known for collaborating with major contemporary pop stars. He was born on November 10, 1979, in Tupelo, Mississippi, USA, and is the founder of a music label. Diplo enrolled at the University of Central Florida in 1997 and later attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where he earned a diploma in Film Studies in 2003. Before his music career, he worked as a school teacher and a social worker in Philadelphia.
