DJ Bone is a highly sought-after underground vinyl technician from Detroit, renowned for his talent and influence in the music scene. He has played events and clubs worldwide and has held residency positions at four of Detroit's top clubs. His music production, inspired by the essence of Detroit, reflects the futuristic and unearthly qualities of his record labels, Subject Detroit and Encounter, while still embodying the true spirit of Detroit's Techno Soul. Bone's journey in music began at the iconic Music Institute, where he experienced the emotion, passion, and energy of Detroit Techno firsthand. Influenced by the eclectic sounds of Detroit's airwaves, notably from legendary figures like Electrifyin' Mojo and The Wizard, he developed a unique style. He started his DJ career spinning groundbreaking sets weekly at The Love Club (The Shelter), which helped him gain a dedicated following. This success led him to perform at three different clubs five nights a week, as well as at several underground parties in Detroit. Additionally, he received an invitation to provide fortnightly live mixes for the Deep Space Radio show on 107.5 in Detroit.
