DJ Buck, born Kuyumptiwa Kopavi Grok Tinkelman, moved to San Francisco from New York during his grade school years. In 1994, he became one of the original members of Third Floor Productions. In 2001, Buck relocated to Los Angeles to collaborate with various labels, including Tweekin. Kopavi passed away in January 2026.
