DJ Marcelle, also known as Another Nice Mess, is a musician, DJ, producer, and radio broadcaster based in Amsterdam. Renowned for her live performances around the globe, she is a resident DJ at events such as the Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda. An icon of sonic experimentation, Marcelle employs a distinctive three-turntable setup to create unexpected fusions of genres, including raw techno, dub, electronics, post-punk, field recordings, singeli, dancehall, animal sounds, and electronic avant-garde. With decades of experience in clubs, museums, radio, and festivals, she has released music on labels like Cortizona, Jahmoni, and Klangbad. Her sets are designed to provoke, delight, and educate rather than merely entertain. Marcelle hosts a weekly radio show called Another Nice Mess, which listeners can subscribe to.
