DJ Nervous is a trance DJ and producer based in Sydney, Australia, known for his vibrant contributions to the dance music scene. He hosted a weekly dance music show on MTV for over a year and co-founded one of Sydney's most popular Friday night events, Plastic. Nervous has been featured as a personality in major advertising campaigns for brands like Sony, MTV, Levi's, and Killer Loop Eyewear. He also created music and modeled at the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in 1997/98. He toured nationally with the Big Day Out and performed at the 2000 event alongside renowned acts such as the Chemical Brothers and Basement Jaxx. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with prominent DJs including Sasha, John Digweed, Roger Sanchez, Armand van Helden, and many others. As the founder of the Transmission dance parties, which began in 1996 at the now-closed Sublime nightclub, Nervous has been instrumental in pioneering several firsts in the Australian dance music landscape. Transmission was the first dance event to be simulcast live on radio (2SER), broadcast live on the Internet (Village.com), and filmed for pay TV (MTV on Optus). Additionally, it introduced the innovative 4x4 Dueling Configuration, allowing two DJs to play four tracks simultaneously.
