Bio: Dj Premier, born on March 21, 1966, in Houston, Texas, is best known as one half of the influential rap duo. He is a renowned DJ and record producer, having produced nearly all of the duo's tracks as well as tracks for numerous other groups and solo artists since the 1990s. His production credits include work for artists such as various notable names in the industry. Dj Premier's style is characterized as "underground" or "alternative" Hip-Hop, with a distinctive approach to sampling Jazz artists and incorporating an artist's previous work into new tracks. He is also recognized for creatively combining small vocal snippets from multiple artists to create hooks in his productions, a technique that has made him a highly sought-after producer in the Hip-Hop genre. His stage name reflects his claim to be the first and best in his style, and he originally went by the name Wax-Master C, with the "C" derived from his real name. Additionally, he founded his own label.
