DJ Skull, whose real name is Ron, is a prominent figure in the Techno music scene, hailing from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. His musical journey began in the summer of 1986 while he was recovering from a broken bone. He initially honed his skills by DJing at basement parties, gradually building his reputation to perform at larger events, including loft and hotel parties, and eventually at renowned clubs like the Music Box and Power Plant. At the age of fifteen, Ron presented his first demo and met a legendary DJ who was working as A&R for Trax Records. Two years later, under the alias DJ Skull, he caught the attention of another prominent figure at the Power Plant, who invited him to release tracks. In October 1991, DJ Skull released his debut record, "N.R.G. Music." His 1993 EP, "The Stomping Grounds," garnered more recognition than his first release. Over the years, DJ Skull has produced numerous EPs across various labels and has established himself as a respected producer and DJ in the Techno industry. He has performed at notable events in the USA and Europe, including Planet Djax 1 in Chicago, Mayday 8 in Germany, and The Lollipop in Sweden, among others.
