Djosinha is a Cape Verdean singer and former soccer player, born and raised in Alto de Sao Nicolau, Sao Vicente, an island in the Cape Verdean archipelago. He began performing on stage at the age of 7 and, in 1967, was invited to join "Voz de Cabo Verde."
