Dobie is a producer based in London who has been passionate about music since he got his first pair of turntables in 1982. He began experimenting with vinyl, cutting up a wide variety of genres, with hip-hop being his first love. His musical influences also include punk, rock, and electronica, contributing to his eclectic style. The nickname "Dobie" reflects his quiet demeanor in the studio, which reminded friends of the Dolby feature on their hi-fis, as well as his resemblance to Captain Dobey from the TV series Starsky & Hutch.
