Dolly Mixture was a British post-punk band formed in 1978 by bassist and vocalist Debsey Wykes, guitarist Rachel Bor, and drummer Hester Smith. Initially, they were complete amateurs, with rumors suggesting their entry into the music scene was linked to their relationships with members of The Damned, although only Rachel Bor and Captain Sensible were actually a couple. The band experienced some Top 40 success as backing vocalists for Captain Sensible's hit "Wot," but they remained largely overlooked by both the media and the public. In 1984, towards the end of their career, Dolly Mixture self-released a double album of demo tracks, which has seen several reissues since.
