DOMi & JD BECK is a French-American jazz duo composed of French keyboardist Domi Louna and American drummer JD Beck. Domi Louna, born Domitille Degalle, began her musical journey at the age of 3, studying piano, keyboard, and drums. She attended the Conservatoire régional du Grand Nancy and later the Conservatoire de Paris, before moving to the United States to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. JD Beck, raised near Dallas, Texas, started playing piano at 5 and drums at 9, receiving mentorship and performing with notable musicians from the age of 10. The duo formed in 2018 and began working on their debut album, "Not Tight," in 2019. The album received critical acclaim, reaching number one on the Billboard 'Top Contemporary Jazz Albums' chart and earning Grammy Award nominations for 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Contemporary Instrumental Album' in 2022.
