Born in Key West and raised in Tampa, Don Allen, known as Donna, began her career in the 1980s as a backup vocalist. She was a Tampa Bay Buccaneer cheerleader before launching her music career. In the late 1980s, she gained recognition with her hit single "Serious," which reached #20 on the Pop charts and #5 on the R&B charts from her first album, "Perfect Timing." Donna's second hit was "Real," produced for Sylvester Stallone’s film "The Specialist." Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous recording artists.
