Don Blackman was an American jazz-funk pianist, singer, songwriter, producer, and artist, born on September 1, 1953, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, USA. He passed away on April 10, 2013, in New York, New York, at the age of 59 due to cancer. Blackman is probably best known for his tracks "Holding You, Loving You" and "Heart's Desire," both featured on his classic album released in 1982. In addition to his solo work, he contributed keyboards and backing vocals to projects by other well-known artists.
