Don Cherry, born on April 28, 1940, in Nice, France, is a French jazz saxophonist and composer known for his collaborations with notable musicians such as Mal Waldron, Paul Bley, Lester Bowie, Palle Danielsson, Trilok Gurtu, and Okay Temiz. He is affectionately referred to as "Doudou."
