Don Harper (1921 - May 30, 1999) was a renowned jazz violinist, violist, and composer from Melbourne, Australia. He spent significant time in London, where he composed music for various BBC television shows, including Dr. Who, Champion House, Sexton Blake, and The Inside Man. Harper served as the Music Director for "World of Sport" for 15 years. From 1983 to 1990, he was the Head of Jazz Studies at the Wollongong University's School of Creative Arts and conducted master classes at Trinity College in London and the Conservatorium in Brisbane.
