Don Robertson was an American singer/songwriter, arranger, pianist, and conductor, born on December 5, 1922, in Beijing, China. He passed away on March 16, 2015, in California. He began formal piano lessons at the age of four, and when he was seven, his family returned to the USA, where he started learning to play brass instruments while retaining his piano training. His songwriting career began around 1953 when he collaborated with others, and in 1954, he achieved his first major success with the song "I Really Don't Want To Know," which was recorded by various artists. In recognition of his contributions to music, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972.
