Donald Dust, also known as Tom Banks, emerged in 2017 with his debut 12” for No Bad Days, followed by releases for Bordello A Parigi and Paradise Palms. His music blends influences from WBMX radio mixes, Ron Hardy drum tracks, the golden era of Italo synths, and the early sounds of Eurodisco-infused House. In 2018, he established his own label, Enter Planet Dust, releasing a 7” of genre-bending DJ tools. His work, including the project Mars R-Trax, explores the depths of YouTube modular synth demos, Adam & Fleisner SFX, and disco drum 12”s. Donald has held a residency at Edinburgh’s Paradise Palms, started the Other Thumpers radio show on EH-FM, and has performed in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
