Donnell Pitman is a soul vocalist hailing from Chicago, Illinois, known for his infectious rarity "Love Explosion," which was released in 1982 and has gained recognition in modern disco circles. In April of the same year, he introduced the unreleased masterpiece "Burning Up" on The Chicago Party. Both "Burning Up" and its exquisite flip side "A Taste Of Honey" were recorded at Chicago's Paragon Studios and were later rescued from obscurity when a cassette master was found in the briefcase of a former manager. These tracks, written by Jesus Wayne, represent a high point in the history of Chicago disco.
