Dorothy Morrison is an American gospel music singer born on May 8, 1944, in Longview, Texas, USA. She is married to a songwriter and is the sister of several siblings. Morrison is known for her lead vocal performance on the song "Oh Happy Day," which was recorded in 1967 by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. She also performed with her siblings in the Combs Sisters during the 1969 Big Sur Folk Festival, a performance documented in the concert film "Celebration at Big Sur." This song remains her only solo single to reach the Billboard Top 100. Additionally, her family was involved in music as the Combs Family Singers.
