Doug Wimbish is an American bass guitarist and producer, born on September 22, 1956, in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. He is best known for his work with a prominent band, of which he became a permanent member in June 1992. Wimbish is also recognized in the New York City music scene for his numerous collaborations with a drummer and guitarist, first in one project and then from 1979 onwards in the house band for another project. Additionally, Doug has contributed to various other projects throughout his career.
